Sunday 4th May 2008 - Kings Lynn Great East Anglia Run. Norfolk
This was me meeting the world famous running legend Ron Hill (70 years old). In 1970, Ron became the first Britain to win the Boston Marathon in 2 hours, 10 minutes, 30 seconds. Ron started running in 1954, but he is most famous for running every day (yes every day) since 1964, covering a staggering 150,000 miles. Ron was delighted to hear of my fundraising by running and volunteered to pose for this picture with me. GOOD NEWS... not only did I meet this living legend, and ran with him in the same race, but I beat him by 2 seconds! (Yes I am 19 years younger than him). Thursday 1st May 2008 - BBC Radio Leeds Studios.
This was me this morning with Andrew Edwards and Georgey Spanswick at the BBC Radio Leeds studios. I was invited in to the studios to speak about my transformation from a couch potato to a charity runner. They also gave me a nice

Sunday 20th April 2008 - Bradford 10k.
Did a hard run in Bradford's inaugural 10k race. I was race fit, and the conditions were perfect. I decided it was possible to get a new personal best time. It was not to be, I ended up with 47 mins 48 secs which is a great deal slower my best 46 mins 10 secs. However, that is more money for Cancer Research UK.

Did a VERY gruelling 13.1 mile half marathon in Baildon, West Yorkshire on Sunday 6th April. The terrain was hard and hilly, but the mud pits distracted you from the pain. My legs are still killing me. The weather was nice and cool and the views over the valley and hills were glorious (when you had time to stop and notice them).

Did a GREAT 13.1 mile half marathon in Bournemouth, on Sunday 30th March. Nice flat course (they said) but there were some quite steep hills at either end of the promenade. The drive was 6 hours each way to get there, but I had to do it, because it was sponsored by Fitness First, and I was in the finals of the Fitness First 'New You Awards 2007' ( I came in runner up). Had a great run and finished in 1 hr 48 mins.
